Subj: Poperi; poparey; darn it, a bunch of stuff (finally)

Hi again:
1. Is the Limerock event to drive in or just show off our cars?
2. How fast is an NSX? Fast enough to out run a thrown egg. Yup; There was an accident on the interstate and traffic was backed up for miles. Seems these kids standing on a high bank beside the road were taking pot shots with eggs at the stopped cars. Well, when they saw my car come within range they really let loose with the artillery. I let the car in front move ahead; I started to accelerate, stopped quick and the first barrage hit the pavement in front. Accelerated hard and the second barrage hit behind. Before they could rearm, I was outside their range. When I got to my destination I checked for battle damage. Just a dime size spot on the front bumper.
3. I had the infamous Accord at the local Honda dealer to get the EGR ports cleaned. When they called me on the PA system to report to the service desk, I was greeted by the service manager and another gentleman I didn't recognize. The service manager introduced him, stating that Kevin was formally from Honda MFG. and was working as the dealers fixed operations director. Kevin said, "I have never seen a Honda with over 300,000 miles that looks as clean as your car!" and shook my hand. I gave my usual spiel about the "how and why" of doing maintenance like I do. He then asked if I would bring my Accord to their new car clinic (conducted for new owners) and give a lecture on the importance of maintenance. I told him I would be happy to do it, except their next clinic comes when I will be in VA, but I'll try for the next one. (They may regret their offer when they find they can't shut me up :-)
